CARING FOR YOUR HAT
RECOMMENDED Hat Care.
Like any beloved personal item that’s worn over and over again, normal wear is to be expected. You can extend the life of your hat by taking proper care of it in the following ways:
Storage.
Store hat upside down, brim up or hang on hook.
Never leave your hat in a hot car or on a bed. The bed brings bad luck and a hot car brings a floppy brim.
Cleaning:
For general cleaning purposes, brush with horsehair brush.
For light stains, use a dry or damp sponge.
For heavy stains, gently rub with 320 grit sandpaper.
Tips and tricks you should know when owning a hat:
Always tip your hat to a lady. Ladies, if a gentleman doesn’t tip his hat, run far, far away. Momma taught you better.
Take your hat off when entering a home or talking to an elder or superior. It’s just the right thing to do, don’t question it.
If you need a hat cover for the rain, you need a better quality hat…or stay indoors. Fortunately for you, you now own a hat built for the elements.
Never mess with another cowboy/girl’s hat. Unless you’re prepared for a fist fight then by all means, have at it.
